Dear Parents

Thanks to all of you who signed up to fill a role during Blue & White meet.  There were few positions that were not filled when registration closed yesterday. I have made a pass at assignments for those unfilled roles.  

Two requests:

1. Please review your role and let me know if you have any questions. Your assignment can be viewed in Swimtopia. Also included at the bottom of this email. I'll be at the pool deck during practice tomorrow and will be glad to answer questions you may have in person. 
2. If you will not be able to volunteer during the meet, please let me know ASAP.  Every role is critical and even a single no-show will impact our ability to run the meet smoothly. 

Few key points about volunteering:

• Volunteers must stay for the entire meet. There are some roles (e.g., meet setup, swimmer check-in) where your job is done much early. Almost all roles require your active involvement through the end of the meet. If you need to step out, please find me or one of the board members to help you out.
• Kid pusher is an important role. As a kid pusher,
  • Your primary responsibility is safety of our kids during the meet. Next is making sure the kids gather at the starting area when clerk of course calls for them.
  • Please do NOT leave the kids in your group unattended or let kids wander around. If a kid in your group needs to go somewhere (concessions, restroom, etc.) make sure the kid (especially 10 and under) are accompanied by an adult – it can be one of the kid pushers, deck parent, or the kid’s parent/elder sibling/guardian.
  • Make sure all the kids find their parents before you leave the meet.

Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with how a meet day will be. You will be proficient by end of Tuesday when we wrap up the Blue and White meet. This meet is akin to a dress rehearsal for the season.  We will not have competing team for this meet. 

We will do a pre-meet volunteer huddle ~5:30 pm after warmup starts on Tuesday.  Please join so you have the up to date information for the meet.
