Urgent Reminder: Supervision Policy for Swimmers Under 14

Dear Kitts Creek Swim Families,

I hope you are all enjoying a great season so far! I’m writing today with an important reminder that needs immediate attention regarding swimmer supervision during practices.

As outlined in our team handbook, “A responsible adult (designated by the swimmer’s parent or guardian) must be present at all times during practices for swimmers under 14.”

This policy supports the Kitts Creek HOA pool rules, which state:

“Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult of at least 21 years of age at all times. Parents may not drop kids 13 and under at the pool and leave or risk losing pool access for the season.”

Today, there were three 13-year-old swimmers at practice without an adult present.

Please help us keep everyone safe and in compliance by ensuring an adult is on-site for any swimmer under the age of 14.

We appreciate your attention to this and your partnership in keeping our swim team a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Thank you,

Jillian Bowlin
President, Kitts Creek Swim Club
